Art

Art to me is a form of oneself expression, it a creative skill built up by ones imagination to form such a painting or sculpture. Personally I wasn't born to be an artist, but there is some people who have that natural gift. And one of my favorite artists is Pablo Picasso.

Pablo was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright. Picasso demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner through his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. I first saw Picassos work when I was in 3rd grade and we would have assemblies in school every month and they would show us about a different artist each time. Picasso stood out to me because I thought his work looked fascinating. It was colorful and it looked like every picture had its own story or meaning behind it.

Perserverance

I have heard of the word perseverance, but I just didn't know what it really meant till now.

If you were offered $50 right now or $100 in one year, which would you choose?

Well since im not really wise with the way I spend my money, and since im not really good at saving money I would say the $50 right now.

Do you have any long term goals for your life? What are your goals and have you created plans to achieve these goals.
Yes, I really would like to save up for a car and also for a trip to Paris after high school, but its just so hard for me to save my money because when ever I have money I just want to spend it right now. I also want to go to college to be Registered Nurse, but I know that's going to be a lot of learning in college. I do plan on achieving all of my goals though! I guess what I really need is some motivation sometimes.

Its hard to prioritize things in my life, but I have to have perseverance if I want to achieve all my lifetime goals.

These things are the top 5 thing that are my priorities or just things that I do. When it comes to sports I only care when its baseball season. School is something that is definitely important to me. Food is something I love because its so good! My phone is something I need because I literally have my whole life on it and don't know what I would do without it. Lastly exercise is something I am always doing because I love staying healthy and feeling fit.

My conversation with Jenelle Evans

Jenelle Evans was on MTV's 16 & Pregnant and is now on MTV's Teen Mom 2. By me watching the shows I learned a lot about her life as being pregnant at a young age.

If I were to sit down and have a conversation with her I would ask her why does she keep getting in jail? and why cant she just quit doing drugs? She has been in and out of  jail a numerous amount of times and that is why her mom had to get custody of her little boy Jace. She also keeps bringing all her different boyfriends into her sons life so I would ask her why does she keep doing that? Jenelle also recently had an abortion with a guy who she is no longer with and she said it wouldn't be fair to Jace if she had another child, but now she is pregnant again by her new boyfriend and she is going to keep this child, so I want to ask her why did she do that? I chose Jenelle because I just have so many questions im dying to ask her.

If I was stranded a tent would come in handy for when I sleep I will be protected. And the pizza is for when I get hungry. And the firewood is so that I can stay warm or cook things when using the wood to make a fire.

Stranded

My phone is a main thing I would want to have if I was stranded. If I had service I could call for help to be rescued. Or if my parents were looking for me they could locate me from my phones gps.

The second thing I would want if I was stranded is a lighter or matches. This can come in handy if I needed to make a fire to stay warm or to even cook food. Its hard to start a fire without matches or a lighter so it would definitely help.

 

                              

                                  

 

The last thing I would want if I was stranded would be a knife. A knife I could use to kill an animal so I could eat it. Or I can use a knife for cutting things like tree branches to make a shelter.

Human trafficking is the modern form of slavery, with illegal smuggling and trading of people, for forced labor or sexual exploitation. In the U.S., human trafficking tends to occur around international travel-hubs with large immigrant populations, notably California and Texas. The U.S. Justice Department estimates that 17,500 people are trafficked into the country every year, but the true figure could be higher, because of the large numbers of undocumented immigrants.

Learning more about Human trafficking really sparked my interest after watching the movie called "Human trafficking". I saw all the horrible truths about it and felt so bad for the humans who were being treated like sex slaves, and it honestly makes me kind of scared that it can easily happen to anybody. And even though it is a crime it is still happening all over the world.

82% of suspected incidents were classified as sex trafficking and nearly half of these involved victims under the age of 18, so we see this is happening to young kids. This world is unjust! Don't those people who are doing this realize how these people must feel ?They are being mistreated and having their innocence taken away.

My Wisdom

Well I do know a lot about drugs, and have seen the way people react when they are on them. I myself have even experienced with them because I fell into peer pressure and it seriously feels horrible and like you are not in control of your own body. I would not want any of my kids in the future to have to deal with drugs but things are getting worse and worse so I know I will have to talk to them about it when it is the right time in their life.

When I have kids when im older I am going to just tell them all the info I know about drugs and how much it can harm our bodies. And I might even take them to a drug class or something so that they can really see all the effects and hopefully it will scare them enough to not try it.

Heroin

Reading about all these parents who loss their kids was very sad. Any parent feels like they know what's going on with their kids but in reality they don't, kids hide lots of things from their parents, and I know this because I am a kid.

One thing that really stuck out from the article was when one of the parents who lost her son,  Lori Smith said "My thing is, kids are going to do drugs," Smith stated. "No matter what parents, schools, or Sheriff's deputies say, they are going to experiment and think nothing will happen to them." And her statement is true, at the end of the day kids are going to do whatever they want to do regardless of if their parents think its okay or not. But they should not be influencing it to their friends because they may cause death.

Against

I am against the legalization of Marijuana and the use for it. I think people are abusing the drug because isn't it only for medical purposes and people who REALLY need it?!

In so many high schools kids are doing drugs because they think its cool. And the #1 drug is Marijuana. They can easily buy it among one another so just imagine how much more easier it would be for them to get it if it was legal. People may think that it is harmless because they say its just a plant but it can kill your brain cells and cause you to loose your memory and sometimes often lead to addiction. Plus when people are high on Marijuana they are not aware of their surroundings and are in slow motion so if someone is driving under the influence of Marijuana it can really danger other people on the road.

Marijuana is big in the media also so that why a lot of young people are getting influenced in it because they see other people doing it so they think they will fit it if they do it too.

My favorite movie

My favorite movie is " The Notebook". The first time I saw it was when it came out in 2004 but I was little and didn't really understand it. And then I saw it again when I was 14 and fell in love with it.

The movie is basically about a girl who comes from a wealthy family and she meets a poor young man and they end up falling deeply in love but their love gets broken up because her mother thinks she deserves better, and they go through many challenges along the way to win their love back. I honestly love the movie so much because I think its just such a beautiful love story, and it made me cry because it was deep and had a good story line so I just got so caught up in it. The characters also did such a good job in acting it and the director for making such a good movie.

I ask almost every one of my friends if they have seen it and liked it and they all agree yes. So if you haven't seen it you are really missing out and must go see The Notebook!  

GMOs

1.) A genetically modified organism is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. Organisms that have been genetically modified include micro-organisms such as bacteria and yeast, insects, plants, fish, and mammals. Us humans eat some Monsanto's GM corn and it is grown a toxic chemical right inside each and every corn kernel. They are fighting a proposition so that GMOs wont be shown on food labels.
2.) Well I don't think that we should be eating genetically modified food because it may be harmful. And I definitely think they should require labels on food with GMOs in the United States. To me it seems " unnatural".

This typing website I found gives you a whole bunch of lessons you can practice that are supposed to make you a genius at typing! In this websites typing course you will study the principles for effective learning, familiarize yourself with good typing ergonomics, and you will know which fingers go where. There is a total of 18 lessons which range from 5 to 15 minutes. These are all designed to help you develop the physical skills of typing, and to get the blood flowing!

I took a typing class for 1 semester in 6th grade. And that really helped me learn how to type. The teacher would have us do games and tests, and sometimes he would put a cover over the keyboard so we can learn to type without looking at the keyboard.

I would say Keyboard Revolution was My favorite game. I liked how every time I matched a letter when typing the duck did a dance move. It was definitely a fun game!
