Free Choice

Have you ever seen those really sad animal organization commercials? They show them rescuing those poor innocent animals that get neglected or abused and they show really sad pictures of the animals with sad music in the back round. It gets me every time! I see those commercials and I get so sad and I really would love to make a difference.

So when I recently saw a movie on Netflix called "Blackfish", It really got me thinking. The movie is basically about how Sea World amusement parks are just all about money and they don't really care about their whales and how their not happy being in a confinement. It shows how they take them from their families in the ocean when the whales are just babies. In Sea World they have whale trainers that do shows with the whales for an audience and the movie stated that their has been over 70 attacks on the trainers from the whales but they always blame it on the trainer and say it their fault. But their has been no record of any whales harming humans in the wildlife, so isn't their something wrong their? They just don't want to face the truth and for people to know that the whales are just doing this because its their only way to express their feelings that they are unhappy. And if the whales don't do the tricks they are supposed to they don't get fed.

The whales have no say in their life and are being controlled. They are supposed to be free in the ocean roaming about miles and miles with their family. Whales are very loving and compassionate animals. If I had one wish it would be to see a change in this world and for people to start caring more about animals feelings and to stop harming them and just let them be free.

My Favorite Hobby

My absolute favorite hobby would be dancing. Dancing has just always been an outlet for me and whenever I get free time I practice and practice new routines and stretching so that I can keep getting more flexible. When Im also stressed out about something or just having a bad day I can start dancing and let all my worries go.

I started dancing at Costa Mesa High School. I was the captain of junior varsity and I loved it, because I had an awesome team and a great teacher Mrs.Kaska. We would preform at rally's, dance shows, and festivals. Practice was after school everyday and we would work our butts off. I always loved dancing before I tried out for the team but I was just always so scared of preforming cause I had a little bit of a stage fright. But I eventually gained more confidence being in dance and got over it. My favorite style to dance is Hip Hop & Lyrical.

My favorite dance quote that hit home for me was "Dance enables you to find yourself and lose yourself at the same time". To me this means that I can really be myself and let go while dancing and pretend like no ones watching. Dancing is definitely something I will always have a passion in for the rest of my life.

About Me

Hello, my name is JaeOnna Monique Pacheco, I am 16 years young and live in Costa Mesa, California. I grew up In Rialto, California with my mom and my brother. When my mom got married I was 5 and we moved to Huntington Beach and ever since I've been living in Orange County I fell in love with it. I couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else.

Whenever I am not at home or with friends you can catch me at the beach. I love to surf and skate, but my main passion in life is dancing. I am also really into fashion and makeup, I mean what girl my age isn't right? I cant wait to finally graduate high school cause I have some big plans ahead of me! After I graduate I plan to travel to Paris with a couple of friends and when I get back I want to start college to eventually be a registered nurse. Nursing wasn't always something I was interested in but I realized the Medical field is where I needed to pursue my career because its an ongoing job and someone is always going to need a nurse. Well there is a lot more to my life but if I told you it all I would be writing a book so there you have it.
